My first experience in photography was many, many years ago when I was in school.
The school took us to Scotland on holiday and they took us to see the Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
My camera, at the time, was a Kodak that took 620 roll film; Yes it was that long ago.
The photos I took were, for want of a better word, naff.
My next experience was a few years later, when I drove to Greece.
My camera then was a Kodak Pocket Instamatic.
The results were far from perfect and did no justice to the places and things that I saw.
With my mind set, on my return from Greece, I purchased my first SLR, a Praktica.
Over the next few years I added extra lenses, filters etc. to my camera gear.
I also took the giant step into processing, by purchasing an enlarger, tanks, trays, chemicals, etc.
I was now totally hooked.
As my photography improved and grew I updated my equipment.
I purchased a Canon A1 with lenses, a Bronica ETRS with lenses.
From these early days I have moved on.
I gained my AFIAP in 1998.
I joined the Royal Photographic Society (RPS).
I joined United Photographers International (UPI).
And I joined the Photographic Society of America (PSA).
With regards to the PSA, I am the International Representative for Cyprus.
I am also the CPID Individual Portrait Competition Director.
